About Mark

I have been serving students and families in Saint Lucie County for 20 years. I am in my third year serving as President of the Saint Lucie County Foster/Adoptive Parent Association. I am a board member of the Hibiscus Children's Center. I am a member of the Roundtable of St. Lucie County's Child Welfare Network. I participate in a local human trafficking workgroup and a child welfare workgroup for the state of Florida. I have served schools as a reading tutor and a volunteer instructor for Junior Achievement.

I am an ordained minister, serving the same church for 14 years. I also lead a multi-church community youth group. I am the author of a nationally published youth leadership curriculum. Overall, I have 23 years of youth ministry experience.

My wife, Terri, and I are in our fifth year as licensed foster parents. We have been married for 19 years and have three adopted children.

I have an A.A. degree in Secondary Education, a B.A. degree in Social Sciences (concentration in Human Development and Psychology), and a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.

These experiences are the foundation of my work to help you reclaim our local schools.
